RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has rubbished claims that Christopher Nkunku is set to leave the club.

The midfielder, who has an eye for goal, is one of the key players for the Bundesliga club this season.

Reports had linked him to Manchester United, Liverpool, and other European teams in recent months.

However, Mintzlaff says that Nkunku will be at the club beyond the end of this season.

"We don't have many players who can leave us in the summer. We want to strengthen the team rather than weaken it," said Mintzlaff on Sky90.

"Nkunku will play with us next season. Of course, nothing is certain in football but that's our plan."
