Newcastle United midfielder Jack Young has joined League One promotion-chasers Wycombe Wanderers on loan.
The 21-year-old, who has been with United since the age of seven, spent the first half of last season on loan with Tranmere Rovers and will now stay with Buckinghamshire-based Wycombe for the remainder of the current campaign.
He has regularly captained the Magpies at under-23 level and has been named on the bench on a handful of occasions at first-team level, although he has yet to make his competitive bow for the club.
However, Young did play for United at senior level in a pre-season friendly at Doncaster Rovers in July and joins a Chairboys side currently fifth in their division.
