Inter Milan signing Robin Gosens admits he turned down Newcastle last month.
Gosens left Atalanta for Inter, but not before rejecting an approach from Newcastle.
He said, "I had a contract offer, but I rejected it from a sporting perspective. I would have put my sporting goals in jeopardy.
"It is very human to think about it. If you can earn more for the same job elsewhere? Show me someone who just says 'no thank you'.
