Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta is happy with the owners' plans for the long-term.
Marotta says he also pleased with his relationship with president Steven Zhang.
“When a director is in a top position like mine, it's important to have excellent diplomacy, interpersonal skills, and confidence, this is the most important weapon we have," he said.
“The rest comes from the foresight of the owners and I'm lucky to work with owners with a long-term vision."
Marotta also paid tribute to former Palermo and Venezia president Maurizio Zamparini after his passing.
“I'm sorry to hear of his passing because I met him as a friend even before I knew him as a President," he reflected.
“I urged him to buy Venezia," he went on. “I spent five wonderful years with him, full of strong emotions and culminating in promotion.
“I think back on him with respect and admiration. He also signed a hard core from the 2006 national team, -Toni, Zaccardo, Barzagli, Grosso. He had a great eye for talent."
