
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy admits he was full of pride after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
Mendy made it to Abu Dhabi for the Club World Cup final triumph on Saturday.
He said, "I can't describe how I feel this is an incredible achievement for me, my partners, our families and for our country. It's a source of pride for me to have won Senegal's first CAN."
Asked about the reception of the supporters on the return of the Teranga Lions to Dakar, Mendy also said: “We had never seen that with my teammates, it was incredible.
"We stayed on the trophy bus for 7 hours with a million fans on the streets of Senegal! I was very happy to see entire families come to celebrate with us."
