Wout Weghorst was delighted to score his first goal in Burnley's 3-0 defeat of Brighton.
Weghorst opened the scoring for Sean Dyche's men when he connected with Connor Roberts' cross to strike beyond Seagulls' goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Josh Brownhill and Aaron Lennon were also on target as Dyche marked his 250th Premier League game as boss with a first away victory of the season.
Weghorst said, “It's been a great day. I think we started well. It was a nice attack over the right side, Connor put in a great ball, and I noticed the two defenders dropped off a bit, and I finished it. When you touch it, you just know.
“Last week against Liverpool it was clear that I had some good opportunities and I want to help the team and the Club, I want to pay them back and it's all about goals as a striker.
“It was a good win, an important win and we needed the three points, so it's been good.
“Josh told me a few days ago that he hadn't scored for two years, so It was nice for both of us to score our first goals today."
Weghorst said of the three points: “Last week we had a result against United and took a point against Watford, and Arsenal away a few weeks ago so it gave us a lot of belief and confidence.
“We go into games the right way. There's still a long way to go, it's only one win and three points, and we will absolutely need much more than that, but it is a good step, and we have to continue."
