Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele lamented a losing second debut with Lyon on Saturday.
The on-loan midfielder took part as Lyon lost to AS Monaco on his return.
Ndombele told Canal+: “It's true that it was a complicated match overall. The first half was not easy. We ate two goals quickly. The tactical change helped us a bit more at half-time but Monaco were leading 2-0 so they let us have the ball.
"We had the ball without being dangerous.
"My non-tenure? It's not me who chooses (laughs). We got into the game badly, it happens. We lost but it's up to us to raise our heads for the future. I hope to bring something to the team. I'm not here on vacation."
