France coach Didier Deschamps says Manchester United defender Raphael Varane had a 'small problem with his foot' on Friday night.

Varane was named in France's squad by manager Deschamps for the international break and the centre-back started against Ivory Coast ahead of the weekend. Varane played almost 60 minutes in that match before being substituted to the bench.

After the game, Deschamps confirmed Varane has a 'small problem with his foot'.

But the 28-year-old jogged off the pitch to be replaced by William Saliba during the game and that suggests the injury isn't serious.
