Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has backed teammate Mohamaed Salah to put his World Cup disappointment behind him.
Salah and Egypt failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, losing out to Reds teammate Sadio Mane and Senegal on penalties in a play-off this week.
While Van Dijk acknowledges that Salah will be hurting, he believes the attacker will use that disappointment to win trophies at club level later this season.
"I am sure he will turn the disappointment into success for the rest of the season. We still have everything to play for so, there are a lot of things still to achieve for him," Van Dijk said.
"As for Sadio [Mane], I wish him all the best and if he is in our group, he is going to need that good luck!"
