Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz insists Colombia will bounce back from their World Cup qualifying failure.
Diaz's side won't be at the World Cup later this year after his Colombia side failed to qualify for the showpiece event from their qualifying group. That's despite a 1-0 win over Venezuela in their last qualifying match.
By finishing fifth, Peru will now head to either Australia or the United Arab Emirates for a play-off match against a winner of the tie between those two sides. Brazil topped the section ahead of Argentina, with both sides finishing their respective campaigns unbeaten.
And speaking on the disappointment, Diaz wrote on Twitter: “Since I was little I dreamed of wearing this shirt and wearing it with pride in a World Cup. It hurts too much not to have achieved it.
“I keep wanting to fight for this dream, on my part you will have my commitment and know that I will leave everything to achieve that goal. We will have revenge."
