SABAH and Sarawak’s applications for the Public Works Department (PWD) in both states to be recognised as a “technical agency” will be discussed and decided by the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) Special Council chaired by the Prime Minister soon.
Assistant Public Works Minister Datuk Limus Jury said there is a need for the State PWD to be recognised as a “Federal Technical Department” just as the Malaysian PWD and the Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID).
