SHAH ALAM, March 22 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds, in the Petaling district until 12 noon today.
MetMalaysia in a post on Facebook said the warning was issued if signs indicate that thunderstorms with a rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour are expected to occur over a one-hour duration.
“The thunderstorm warnings are short-term, with each warning valid within six hours after being issued,” the agency posted at 9.50am today.
