Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam admits he's baffled by Ralf Rangnick being in charge.
Rangnick took the manager's job on a caretaker basis after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking.
“I don't know what development vector the management of Manchester United sees in the future," Stam told Betting Expert.
"I think after the dismissal of Solskjaer they could try to immediately appoint a new permanent coach, and not a temporary one.
"Why did Manchester United appoint Rangnick, who was technical director in Russia, as a coach? It looks like this: other German coaches are doing well in the Premier League, so we also need a German specialist. I don't think Ralf will coach the team next season."
