TAMBUNAN: A 63-year-old woman reported missing in the Kampung Tikolod forest here since Thursday was found in an oil palm plantation, 1.5km from her house by security forces and villagers Sunday afternoon.

The Tambunan Fire and Rescue Station Emergency Control Room received an emergency call from the police regarding an old woman missing in the forest while searching for vegetables since March 17 at 11am.

A total of nine firefighters led by Operations Officer Tonny Sipin together with the K9 Detector Unit and a tracking dog (Springer Spaniel), Lexi conducted a search operation with the police, Rela and villagers on Sunday at 8am in the forest and riverside area nearby.

At 2.20pm, the victim was found in an oil palm plantation in good condition and safe by the search team. The victim was then taken to the Tambunan hospital at 2.58pm for further medical examination and the operation ended completely at 3pm.
