- All England Open Badminton Championships
Malaysia’s badminton sweethearts Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, and Soh Wooi Yik will be competing in this year’s most prestigious badminton tournament at Birmingham, England from 16 to 20 March. Let’s show them some love and support ?
- Thomas & Uber Cup
There’s more badminton for racquet sports fans. The Thomas & Uber Cup badminton championships will be held from 8 to 15 May in Bangkok, Thailand. Malaysia has won this title quite a number of times already, but will we win this year?
Team leader Zii Jia recently told his teammates to be confident in reaching the finals, and we hope they do – we’re rooting for you, team Malaysia!
- Asian Games
China will host the multisport Asian Games from 10 to 25 September 2022 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. And guess what? This is the competition to look out for, for those interested in alternative sports.
E-sports will be one of the events, besides other unique sporting competitions that will reportedly be featured like dragon boat, the Southeast Asian favourite sepak takraw, and breakdancing. The official athletes representing Malaysia have not been announced yet but we can’t wait!
- World Cup
Attention football fans ?
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held this year from 21 November to 18 December. France is the reigning World Cup champion.
So far, over a dozen countries have qualified with South Korea being the only Asian nation, which means Tottenham fans will gladly look forward to seeing Son Heung-Min’s athletic prowess on the field in Qatar ?
