Rangers legend Ally McCoist has questioned why Manchester United have not spoken with Zinedine Zidane about their managerial vacancy.
News heating up around United's appointment of their next manager, and Ajax's Erik ten Hag is the firm favourite.
The Premier League club interviewed ten Hag this week and were impressed with the Dutchman.
Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, and McCoist can't believe United haven't considered the four-time Champions League winning coach.
"The one name I haven't heard anything from is Zidane," McCoist said on talkSPORT.
"Clearly, the one thing he can do and do on a regular basis is win the Champions League. He's proved that. He did it three times with Real Madrid.
"He can handle big players and big pressure and a big situation at a massive club so I'm not sure why he isn't in the running at all. Unless he's ruled himself out?"
