ABC says Manchester United and Arsenal are both willing to pay double the €4m euros-per-year offered by Barca.
Uruguay international Araujo is seeking parity with teammates Pedri and Ansu Fati.
Araujo is also annoyed with Barca's impending capture of Andreas Christensen from Chelsea.
The report also claims Atletico Madrid are looking at Araujo, should the 23-year-old want to remain in Spain.
