Nico Gonzalez insists he sees his future with Barcelona.
The midfielder is set for new contract talks with Barca, amid interest arriving from England where Manchester City are keen.
"Well, soon we'll have to sit down and talk," said Nico, 20.
"It will be an important moment for my future. If Barça wanted to, I would stay for the rest of my life."
Nico's father, former Deportivo La Coruna star Fran, worked within City's academy.
The youngster also revealed: "I could have switched to Manchester City when I was 16, but I always wanted to be successful with Barça."
