Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will continue to focus on the issuance of land grants to the people, especially rural natives, said Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.

“In 2021, the State Government had surveyed a total of 15,511.52 hectares of land for natives which exceeds the initial target of 15,000 hectares and had gazetted 80 areas as Village Land,” he said in his policy speech at the opening of the third session of the 16th State Legislative Assembly, here, Wednesday.

This year, he said, the State Government aims to survey 15,000 hectares of native land and gazette at least 75 areas as Village Land.

To improve the service system, online land systems known as Info-PT and e-land Inquiry have been developed to enable the public to make online inquiries on the status of land applications and land inspection status.
