Only 269 new cases in Sabah today, the lowest amid Omicron wave

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's new Covid-19 cases dropped to 269 today, the lowest since the ongoing Omicron wave started early February.

"It's 269 today! Caseloads dropped below the 300 level to 269 cases (-103)," Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun, announced on Twitter.

"There’s overall improvement with KK (-60) & P’Pang (-17) tied at the top with 36 each.

"Fifteen districts registered less than 10 new cases."

The percentage of sporadic infections stood at 57.62, said Masidi, adding 266 or 88.89 percent of today's cases were asymptomatic or light infections.
