Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris insists they can be proud of their performance in defeat at Manchester United.
Spurs lost 3-2 on Saturday with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick.
Lloris said, "I think we performed well, although we can do better on the goals we concede. We know it's about details at this level. Cristiano Ronaldo also helped United get a result.
"I think Ronaldo was at his best. He was very aggressive in the field. It's hard to control him."
He added, "It hurts because I feel we deserved more. But in football you always get what you deserve and now we have to focus on next week."
