Kota Kinabalu: The body of a boy believed to be a foreigner was found floating in seawaters near Kg Tg Aru off Jalan Coastal, here, today, Deasoka reported.
The boy, aged about 10, was found by two teenagers who were walking past the area.
City police chief Asst Comm Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the two teenagers raised the body from the water before calling the 999 emergency line for help.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene confirmed the boy had died.
"The boy is believed to have been a foreigner as there is no BCG immunisation injection mark on his body," Zaidi said, adding the case was filed under sudden death or fatality not linked to a criminal act for now pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
