AC Milan striker Rafael Leao appreciates the influence Zlatan Ibrahimovic is having on his game.

Leao was questioned by Ibrahimovic earlier this season.

The Swede stated: “Leao convinced himself to run, he didn't come to me. He didn't run, I tried but I couldn't find a mental contact with him, I couldn't. But in the pre-season he exploded and started alone."

In reaction, Leao said: “When you are on the pitch with him you must always give your best. I think he meant consistency was what I was missing, now the time has come, I'm a completely different player.

"No no, of course no, I don't look at it as an insult, I have to listen to him ... he says to me 'Rafa look, when you enter the field you are a monster, take the ball and go' so when you feel this trust in your teammate, you know what you have to do to help the team."
