Tyrick Mitchell says it is a 'dream come true' to represent England.

The Crystal Palace left-back was called up as an injury replacement to play Switzerland and Ivory Coast over the next week.

"It's a dream come true. I never, ever thought it would happen so quickly, so I'm literally over the moon," he told Palace TV. "I found out [Saturday]. I got the text. I couldn't believe it, I was just lost for words."

When asked if he had shared the news with his mum, Mitchell said: "I didn't even tell her. I was waiting for it to get announced. That's one of her dreams, to see me play at Wembley.

"Wembley is so close to home so to be called up for England and be around it and be in Wembley Stadium is literally a dream come true itself."
