Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said Aaron Ramsdale will not be joining up with England in the coming days.
The shot-stopper was absent from their battling 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday morning.
Ramsdale sustained a knock in their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in mid-week, and has not yet recovered.
Post-game, Arteta said of Ramsdale: "He wasn't confident in the last 50 or 60 minutes against Liverpool.
"We scanned him and he had a proper injury and a sore muscle.
"He wanted to be here but as soon as he realised he couldn't play he wanted to be here to support Bernd which shows you the kind of character he is."
