Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho is willing to take a major pay-cut to sign permanently with Aston Villa.

Arriving on-loan in January, Coutinho has been outstanding for Villa, playing some of the best football seen from the Brazilian since his departure from Liverpool.

Coutinho's loan with Villa includes a €40m permanent option and Mundo Deportivo says he's willing to take a significant pay-cut to stay.

The Brazil international is also wanted by Arsenal, but he favours staying with Villa.

In 10 appearances for Aston Villa, Coutinho has scored four goals and provided three assists.
