251 new cases in Sabah today

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah registered 251 additional cases, Tuesday, 57 more than yesterday, according to the State’s daily update.

Some 15 districts recorded an increase in new cases compared to only eight districts registering a decrease in daily cases.

Excluding Beluran and Sipitang which recorded an increase in double-digit new cases, the other districts registered single-digit new cases.

Kota Kinabalu recorded the highest number of cases with 64, while the rate of sporadic infection cases in the State is still high at 54.58 per cent. However, it is declining slowly.

On Tuesday, only 12 districts registered this category as the main cause of new infections.

A total of 244 people or 97.21 per cent of the new cases, Tuesday, were in Category 1 and 2, while two cases were in Category 3, four were in Category 4 and a case was in Category 5.
