Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi feels his old team was found out in this week's Coppa Italia semifinal defeat to Inter Milan.
Inter were comfortable 3-0 winners on the night.
“Inter broke the deadlock early and then relied on counter-attacks," Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
“However, who was in charge of man-marking Lautaro? Milan were too naive and you could see that also when Inter scored the second goal.
“Milan obtain the best results when they are united and every department is well connected.
“Distances are fundamental and problems emerge if players move alone up and down the pitch."
Sacchi also said: “In terms of quality and experience, Milan and Inter can't even be compared.
“Inter are a top team and are closer than Milan to reaching a great level in Europe, also thanks to their investments. However, they still need to improve as a collective. Strikers must help defenders and defenders must support the attack, that's the only way to achieve relevant targets."
