Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock is struggling with a knee injury.

The Daily Mail says Willock is a doubt for Friday's visit of Wolves with a knee injury - but there is hope of Kieran Trippier returning before the end of the month.

Willock played the full game during Sunday's 5-1 defeat at Spurs but he was hampered by a knee problem.

The 22-year-old will be assessed over the next 24 hours and Eddie Howe could choose to rotate with Bruno Guimaraes in contention for his first home start.

His fellow Brazilian, Joelinton, was forced to withdraw because of illness at the weekend, and his loss disrupted Newcastle's midfield as Spurs scored four times in the second half.
