Aston Villa have gone cold on keeping hold of Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazil midfielder joined Villa on-loan from Barcelona in January to the end of this season. The deal includes a €40m permanent option.

Mundo Deportivo says while Villa boss Steven Gerrard has expressed plans to keep hold of Coutinho, Barca have fielded feedback to the contrary.

Inside the Blaugrana, they're convinced Villa are rethinking their plans for Coutinho.

Recent performances from the midfielder has seen Villa's board now reconsider their postion.
