Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's new Covid-19 cases dropped below the 50 mark to 48 today, the lowest since March 30 last year, according to an update shared by the spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.

Today's number was 12 cases fewer than yesterday's with all districts showing small daily changes - either an increase or decrease.

Today's statistics were a result of vaccination of almost all Sabah residents and the public's high SOP compliance.

"It is hoped such high discipline remains during this year's Aidil Fitri celebration," the update said.

Forty-four of today's new cases were asymptomatic or light infections.
