Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling has ducked questions about his contract today.

Sterling has just over a year to run on his current deal.

At his Champions League presser, Sterling said: "At the moment I'm just happy to be playing and contributing to the team. That's the most important thing.

"It would be selfish of me to speak of any contract situation. I'm just happy to be playing for the team at the minute and we will see what happens at the end of the season.

"It's a special competition, every young player wants to be here. Every time I play I do my best, the music and atmosphere is always special.

"As a player, I want to be playing scoring, assisting and contributing to the team. Contributing is massive, that's how you get confidence. I'm happy to be a part of the team."

He added: "I wouldn't say I've had to change, it's been the same from starting here. The squad has changed, but I've not had to change my game.

"It's a team full of competition, it's the competition that makes you thrive and keep playing – making assists, scoring, and sometimes you have to understand there's a lot of good players in the team."
