TAMBUNAN: The contribution of expertise by the SK Ragkam alumni is needed to ensure the success of the school’s learning system.
The school’s Senior Assistant for Student Affairs Thersia Robin hoped that the alumni members could contribute some of their expertise to the school in any way they can in the future.
“We know that alumni come from various backgrounds of expertise and education. In this regard, we welcome cooperation and need the strength of Alumni to develop the school, not only in terms of financial resources but suggestions and thoughtful ideas,”
She said in her speech when expressing her gratitude to a delegation representing the alumni and contributors for their sacrifices in terms of energy, time and money to contribute to the school students.
The school’s Alumni Association Secretary Francis Labi said the members had returned to contribute despite leaving the school for a long time, as an act of gratitude which made them shaped them to be independent individuals today.
“In the past, we also felt hardship and we are grateful because the community around our school and village at the time always lent a helping hand.
“When we found out that students in SK Ragkam faced difficulties in getting face masks, we on behalf of the alumni immediately started a face mask fund.
“The fund managed to collect a contribution of RM780, which exceeded our initial target of RM500.
“Although this contribution may seem small, it has inspired the community to continue to support the alumni’s efforts.
“Mobilising the association’s activities requires a high spirit of volunteerism and we the alumni hope that more members can participate,” he said.
