Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick is unlikely to talk with incoming manager Erik ten Hag until mid-May.

The Dutchman takes over the role at the end of the season, but is busy with commitments at Ajax at present.

Given his side are battling to win the Eredivisie, ten Hag will want the season concluded before he focuses on anything to do with United.

According to Daily Express, ten Hag will begin his tenure at United on July 1, and the two men are likely to meet before then.

Rangnick has consistently stated that he is not yet clear on the terms of his consultancy role at United.

He is contracted for another two years, but will wait to speak with ten Hag and the United board when this season ends to iron out the specifics.
