Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira was beaming with pride after his team defeated Arsenal on Monday.
The Eagles grabbed a deserved 3-0 win over Mikel Arteta's side in front of their home supporters.
"I'm really proud. We played a really good game of football," Vieira told Sky Sports. "We defended well and took our chances. We scored in important moments of the game. We needed a big team performance and we did it so we're really pleased.
"We wanted to put pressure on and the atmosphere in the stadium allowed us to take that kind of risk. We were really smart with the way we defended from the front and took the chances to score goals.
"This football club is all about supporting the team and when we are at home we really feel that. The players were tired but the big difference is the atmosphere and the fans behind the players."
He continued: "We knew there would be challenges. I have fantastic support from the people around. I came into a club where the foundations are solid. They are about everything around the team that helps us to perform.
"It is a good point for the club but we know we need to be consistent in our performances and results. We have an exciting end to the season so we will try to perform as well as we did today."
