Nemanja Matic says Manchester United's display against Chelsea was an 'improvement'.
The Red Devils, who only had 13 senior players fit for the match, fought hard to secure a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
"Yeah, I think obviously it was improvement," Matic told Sky Sports.
"We played against a very good team that are tactically almost perfect, technically also they have great players and they also have a great manager. I think we played a good game. I wouldn't say we were much better than them, but it was an equal game.
"I think 1-1 is a fair result. They had more opportunities than us, but I think 1-1 is a fair result. It is always tough when you play against good teams, so we expected a tough game, but tonight we looked much better than the last couple of weeks.
"I think that is an improvement."
