Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he "hopes" Roberto Firmino will be fit to be involved against Everton this Sunday.

The Brazilian was left out of Liverpool's matchday squad to face Manchester United yesterday evening due to a foot injury, though is expected to make a speedy recovery.

Providing an update on the Brazilian after last night's game, Klopp told Sky Sports: "Bobby was not involved because in the very last situation of the City game he got something on his foot. It's not really bad."

On whether Firmino will be ready to face the Blues, the Reds' boss added: “We hope so. Actually, we were a bit worried but the scan was fine.

"But it's still very painful and that's why there was no chance [against Man United]."
