Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has explained his substitution at half-time against Crystal Palace.
The Gunners were trailing 2-0 to their fellow Londoners in the Premier League on Monday.
Arteta took off defender Nuno Tavares at the break, adding forward Gabriel Martinelli into the mix to try and give his team more going forwards.
It was the second time Tavares had been dragged at half-time this season, but it didn't help Arsenal as they went on to lose 3-0.
Speaking post-game, Arteta stated: "Today was just a tactical reason for how I wanted to do it with what Palace was doing and how we could attack and control the game much better in that position.
"We wanted to put another attacking midfielder with Emile in that space and that was the only reason. I'm sorry that it was Nuno again, but we had to do it."
