Everton attacker Alex Iwobi insists they're capable of matching any team in the country.
Everton, ever-present in the top flight since 1954, travel to West Ham today and relegation rivals Burnley on Wednesday one place outside of the bottom three.
Iwobi, who scored a memorable winner against Newcastle in the last league outing at home, admits: "I think the international break came at the right time.
"Some players went away and showed good form. The guys who stayed here worked hard. We are taking every game now like a final. Seamus [captain Coleman] has told us to fight and show people that Everton are not soft and are not going down.
"The boss has tried to boost the mood. Training has been very good. The standard has been very high so I feel like everyone is ready."
He added: "If we fight, we are capable of competing with anyone. It starts in training. Be the best you can, then transfer it into matches."
