Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany says they want Ousmane Dembele to stay.
However, Alemany admits the attacker will have to accept a pay-cut for that to happen.
Dembele's deal expires at season's end.
He said: “He and his agents have known for nearly a year what our position is.
"For us, he can stay, as long as it's within sustainable salary limits and proportionate to his teammates."
