Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded another low daily Covid-19 caseload today at 140 since the ongoing Omicron wave started early February.
Today's case count was 27 cases fewer than yesterday, said an update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
However, the rate of sporadic infections increased from around 43 percent yesterday to 55 percent today.
Such a high rate of sporadic infections means future cases can possibly spike especially at crowded places such as Ramadan bazaars and shopping malls, said the update, advising the public to adhere to anti-virus protocols in such places.
A total of 135 cases or 96.43 percent of today's cases were asymptomatic or light infections.
