KUALA LUMPUR - The police will call Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali to assist on inquiries involving the death of a 10-month old baby named Muhammad Adam Rizqi Abdul Azim, also known as Baby Adam, in 2020.
Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said the cops have opened an inquiry paper to determine whether any criminal elements were present in the baby's death.
"This inquiry is to determine whether any criminal elements exist.
"Siti Bainun was supposed to record her statement a few days ago but had to be postponed as she is on trial at the Jalan Duta Court," he said when met at the Ops Selamat launchintg ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Station today.
He said they were tracing a person knowned as Cikgu Fadli to assist with investigations.
"This person has claimed that there were no investigation process done on the baby's death.
"Surely he should have refered it to the polcie first before making such statements.
"His claims has caused worry among the public and making the police look like they're not doing their job," he said.
It was previously reported that Baby Adam no had criminal elements following his death in 2020.
On Tuesday, post-mortem for Adam by Hospital Kuala Lumpur revealed he died of pneumonia.
