Kota Kinabalu: Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said he is encouraged by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Mohd Noor’s advice when visiting him at his village at Kampung Rampayan, to take up the challenge of seeing the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area, or BIMP-EAGA succeed in this decade.
Speaking as guest-of-honour at the Association of JCI Senators of the South East Asian Nations (Assean) business seminar “Opportunities for BIMP-EAGA in Nusantara” at Le Meridien, he said he was surprised that Hajiji soon after becoming CM would want to visit him at his village despite losing, in the last general election as Usno President by 86 votes on the opposing side to Hajiji’s party coalition.
