Kota Kinabalu: There is a need for Federal civil servants to be more proactive in helping the State Government achieve its goals under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Roadmap.

As such, Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Sarul Bahiyah urged Federal civil servants serving in Sabah to carry out their duties more efficiently while cooperating with State civil servants.

“Cooperation between Federal and State staff need to go hand in hand towards the same destination.

“I recommend that all Federal civil servants in the State to jointly carry out their duties and responsibilities with a sense of shared belonging to the SMJ Roadmap and act promptly in implementing every SMJ initiative,” he said after receiving a visit from Sabah Information Director Nadzerah Abdullah at his office, here.

Sarul Bahiyah hoped the visit would be able to strengthen cooperation between the Federal Secretary Office and the Sabah Information Department.

Also present were Sabah Information Deputy Director Harun Maddasa and Chief Assistant Director of Media and Corporate Communications Peter Tong Ah Pin.
