Kota Kinabalu: The Tamparuli Girls’ Hostel at Kampung Bantayan is expected to be fully commissioned by the middle of this year, said Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu South (RCKKS) 3310 President Benjamin Chin.
A joint project with H.E.L.P Foundation, he said the building is capable of accommodating up to 200 students once fully operational.
“The hostel, which was completed at the cost of about RM2.5 million, will provide safe and comfortable accommodation to many underprivileged and poor rural students from remote villages in Tamparuli, and allows them to pursue their education for a better and brighter future.
