Villarreal midfielder Giovani Lo Celso remained positive after defeat at Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The Reds took charge of their Champions League semifinal by taking a 2-0 first-leg lead at Anfield.
Lo Celso said, "We knew that we were coming to a very difficult stadium to face one of the best in Europe. They push and press, so we knew that it isn't easy to come and win here. But I think that, at times, we did things quite well. We would have liked to control the game a little more and create chances.
"We know there are 90 minutes left in our stadium, with our people behind us and it will definitely be different from today's game.
"I think our team has produced great nights in the Champions League. We've had very difficult knockout ties but produced great games. At home we feel comfortable and I think the tie is still open."
