France coach Didier Deschamps has questioned Boubacar Kamara's move to Aston Villa.
The midfielder is leaving Olympique Marseille for Villa, where he will formally sign when his OM deal expires next month.
Deschamps commented: “It's his choice. He had freedom, he chose. There are no wrong choices. He is having a very, very good season. Being young, he also has a lot of maturity in his game, an interesting versatility.
"He was very much used, very regular, in a role not always highlighted but important for the stability of a team.
"He will discover another championship. Certainly Aston Villa is not one of the best teams in the Premier League at the start.
"It's a step for him, something different. But here too, I don't have all the elements that led to this decision being made."
