
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 39 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, one case higher compared to Monday’s 38.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, in a statement, said although the total number did not change much, nine out of 10 districts that recorded an increase in cases were districts that recorded zero cases previously.
“Today (Tuesday), only nine districts did not record any new cases in the past 24 hours compared to 16 districts yesterday (Monday),” he said.
Kota Kinabalu maintained a new double-digit case record with 11 cases (down by eight).
A total of 17 other districts recorded single-digit cases, with 13 of them recording only one case, respectively. Lahad Datu recorded the highest increase in new infections with six cases, followed by Ranau with three cases.
A total of 36 out of 39 patients are in Category 1 and Category 2, one patient in Category 4, two patients in Category 5. No patients were reported in Category 3.
