Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 situation continued to stabilise with 26 cases on Friday while no deaths or new clusters were identified.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said 14 districts did not record any new cases while all districts recorded single-digit figures. Kota Kinabalu topped the list with six cases, followed by Penampang (5), Keningau (2), Putatan (2), Tawau (2), Beluran (1), Kota Belud (1), Lahad Datu (1), Nabawan (1), Semporna (1), Tambunan (1) and Telupid (1).

“Except for marginal increases and decreases across districts, there were no significant changes in the previous 24 hours. 10 districts recorded a rise in cases while seven recorded a decrease,” he said.

Of the 26 cases, 61.54 per cent were symptomatic while 7.69 per cent were close contacts. Masidi said the majority of cases were mild, with 24 out of 26 being category one and two infections, while one case was each recorded in category three and four. There were no category five infections.
