AC Milan great Arrigo Sacchi hailed the Rossonero fans after seeing victory over Fiorentina.
The result keeps Milan two points clear at the top of the table.
"I got emotional seeing the fans' enthusiasm yesterday, it dragged the team," Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The players are doing something extraordinary. There is a huge financial gap between Milan and other teams. Inter have more quality and experience, so how can Milan be so competitive?
“They are a collective, they are a team and play an international brand of football. They are doing something incredible, just like Atalanta," the ex-Rossoneri coach continued.
“The match against Fiorentina was difficult. Inter's game at Udinese was also tricky. Now Milan have Verona, Atalanta and Sassuolo left. Milan will need two great performances, especially against Verona and Atalanta who force their opponents to play at a very high pace.
“Milan have signed almost unknown players and have halved their debts, so credit to Paolo Maldini and his staff because winning with debts means cheating."
